black eyed pea (lobia)- 0.25 cup
brown rice- 0.5 cup
onion- 0.5 pc
garlic- 1 clove
green chilli- 1 pc
tomato- 0.5 pc
curry leaves- 1 sprigs
rock salt (pink himalayan)- 1 tsp
turmeric powder- 0.25 tsp
sambar powder- 1 tsp
water- 3 cup
steps to do
1. pressure cook the soaked black eyed beans for 2 whistle until they are soft.
2. soak brown rice for 15 mins.
3. heat oil in a cooker, sauté chopped onion, garlic, and green chilies until golden.
4. add chopped tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, and sambar powder, and cook until tomatoes are soft.
5. add soaked black-eyed peas, curry leaves and add water.
6. add washed brown rice, mix well, Close the lid and cook until 2-3 whistles.
7. let the pressure release naturally, then open the lid, fluff the kichadi, and serve hot.
