moong dal cheela

2 cups

ingredients

  • green Moong Dal - ½ cup

  • green Chilli - 1 pc

  • ginger - ½ inch

  • rock salt (pink Himalayan) - to taste

  • black pepper powder - ½ tsp

  • curry leaves - 1 sprig

  • cumin seeds - ¼ tsp

  • onion - ½ pc

  • wood pressed groundnut oil - 1 tbsp

  • water - ¼ cup

steps to do

  1. soak green moong dal overnight                                                                           

  2. drain and blend with green chilies, ginger, rock salt, black pepper powder, curry leaves, and water to make a smooth batter.                                                             

  3. add cumin seeds and chopped onion to the batter.                                                                    

  4. heat a pan and lightly grease it. pour a ladleful of batter into the pan, spreading it thinly into a circle. drizzle a little oil around the edges. 

  5. flip the chilla and cook the other side until golden brown.
