white rice - ½ cup
urad dal- ¼ cup
fenugreek seeds (methi dana) - 1 tbsp
rock salt (pink Himalayan) - to taste
wood pressed groundnut oil - ½ tbsp
water - ¼ cup
steps to do
rinse and soak white rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds separately overnight.
drain the water, add rock salt and grind into a smooth batter, adding water as needed.
allow the batter to ferment overnight or for 8-12 hours in a warm place.
heat a non-stick pan or dosa tawa and lightly grease it.
pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.
drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges of the dosa.
cook until the dosa is golden and crisp. serve hot and enjoy!
