ingredients

  • white rice - ½ cup 

  • urad dal- ¼ cup 

  • fenugreek seeds (methi dana) - 1 tbsp

  • rock salt (pink Himalayan) - to taste

  • wood pressed groundnut oil - ½ tbsp

  • water - ¼ cup

steps to do

  1. rinse and soak white rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds separately overnight.

  2. drain the water, add rock salt and grind into a smooth batter, adding water as needed.

  3. allow the batter to ferment overnight or for 8-12 hours in a warm place.

  4. heat a non-stick pan or dosa tawa and lightly grease it.

  5. pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.

  6. drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges of the dosa.

  7. cook until the dosa is golden and crisp. serve hot and enjoy!
