groundnut Oil - ½ tbsp
mustard seeds - ½ tsp
cumin seeds - ¼ tsp
urad dal - ½ tbsp
chana dal - ½ tbsp
dried red chilli - 1 pc
curry leaves - 1 sprig
onion - ½ pc
ginger - ½ inch
green chilli - 1 pc
rock salt - to taste
water - 1 cup
rava - ½ cup
lemon - ½ pc
coriander leaves - 1 sprig
steps to do
heat up oil in a large kadai and add mustard, cumin, urad dal, chana dal, dried red chili and a few curry leaves. allow them to splutter for a few seconds
add onion, ginger, chilli and salt. saute until the onions soften slightly.
add water and bring it to a boil.
start adding the rawa while stirring simultaneously to prevent lumps from forming.
cover and simmer for 2 minutes or until the rava absorbs all the water.
add lemon juice and coriander. mix well and serve hot.
